How to stay safe during those cold, wet months.

            On the Roads

• Winterize your car before the bad weather hits. Check your tires & wiper blades and make sure you have an emergency road kit.
• Drive at a cautious speed, especially in rain or snow.
• Be extra wary of other drivers: drive defensively!

Around the House

• Check those smoke & carbon monoxide detectors to keep your family safe, whether using a furnace or a woodstove/fireplace.
• On cold nights, ensure that pipes won’t freeze.
• Especially around the holiday season, be sure your house is locked and secure.
• Before the thunderstorms hit, make sure there aren’t any trees that could damage your home.

At Your Business

• Have mats near the door so clients can wipe their feet
• If it snows, be sure the walkways are cleared
